The leisure hours are amply spent in pursuing hobbies. Evening time is sports time. The hostellers are seen playing cricket, football,volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis and badminton. Some can be seen in their choicest book or some surfing the internet. The television installed in the canteen has some viewers pursuing their favourite sports or discovery channels. The hostellers do have the option of viewing a film every Sunday and an outing occasionally.

Weekends are time for interacting with parents. The hostellers have been allotted time between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm to converse. Every last Sunday of the month has been fixed for meeting with the parents. The duration of four hours given for meeting is well utilized by parents, who take their wards out and spend some quality time with them.

Away from home, hostellers have started facing life practically on their own and have learnt to help and co-operate with one another. They flock together to celebrate any festivals or birth anniversaries of their colleagues. Life in hostel has brought the hostellers together in so short a time for a long and forever association
